There’s no doubt I’m an avid Audible lover, and I’ve utilized it for several years (if you’re brand new to Audible and want to know more, I created a whole post on how to use the app here).
However, like any other tool, there are always numerous features you aren’t using or unaware of. For instance, that includes the “Share Audible Book with Friend” option is one that I’ve just found!
You can send Each book you own within the Audible Library to one of your friends. The service is free. You can easily share the Audible book you want to share using the application.
If you’re reading an audiobook you enjoy and think your mom might love it, why not? With a double of clicks, she’ll be able to enjoy it on her own for free.
If you’re listening to your favorite book selection and want to discuss it with a fellow member of your book club, with more time for listening to audiobooks instead of reading.
Are there any traps?
It is possible to share Audible books with a partner at a time.
If you decide to send the book The Boys in the Boat to Sue the book, she’ll receive a copy for free. But, unfortunately, you cannot send the author any additional free Audible books. So she won’t get the book free of charge from others.
(Who is Sue? I don’t know It was merely an idea that popped into my head for this particular scenario).
HOW TO USE THE “SHARE AUDIBLE BOOK WITH FRIEND” FEATURE
To share the Audible book with someone else, open your Audible app and then click “My Library” or the “My Library” button at the bottom of your screen.
You can then locate the Audible audiobook you wish to share and tap the three dots right of the title.
One of the choices which pop up is “Send this Book.”
You can tap that, and it’ll offer you the choice to send an email or text message with the link for download to any individual you’d like.
What’s the easiest way to do that?
You’ll also look like the friendliest neighbor, sibling aunt, or book club participant anywhere.
This is something I think of as an added benefit in the world.
P.S. If you’ve never heard of Audible, join to get a free 30-day trial right here, and you’ll receive two free audiobooks. There are no friends needed.
